Last weekend was Thinking Day for our Girl Scouts. The older girls troops did not participate but Jaquelyn's did. Basically Thinking Day is a celebration of Juliette Low's (founder of Girl Scouts) Birthday. Each troop picks a country to research. They put a display board together with interesting facts about the country. They pick a craft or a game and a food or drink from the country. Then all the girls gather and rotate through the booths and learn about all the different countries. It is pretty cool and Jaquelyn always enjoys it. As you can see from the picture, Jaquelyn's troop picked the Bahamas this year. I made some banana bread for them to hand out to the other kids. Jaquelyn really had a lot of fun and came home with lots of neat facts about the other countries.
