Today Jaquelyn's school had their annual "Race 4 Education". It is pretty much a walk/jog-a-thon that they have each May for a big fundraiser to end the year. Rebecca and I headed over there around 10am to help out after we were finished running errands for the coffee shop. There were three groups (Jaquelyn's was second at 10:15) of kids set up at different times throughout the morning. Each group ran for an hour around a 1/4 mile track set up around the school. The kids were each given an index card to have punched each time they made a lap. Some kids ran, some walked. It was pretty much an at-your-own-pace kind of thing. At some point, Jaquelyn decided Rebecca should go with her and then it began. By the time every group was finished and it was time to clean up, Rebecca had walked/ran over 3 miles. I was quite astonished. She did quite a bit of running but a lot walking too.
And now this is what Rebecca is up to. Out like a light!

That sounds like it was a great school event. And I also love that last photo!
I have to say, that is pretty darn good! 3 MIles!? For a good cause too. Now, are you entering her in our blog carnival? We'd love to see what she can create!

Wow, that's a lot for one so small. I can't imagine my 4 year old walking/running that much. I think my head would hurt first with his complaining! :)
Wow!! She is adorable and such a tough girl to do that much walking!! The last picture is really cute!
Aww, I love when my kids pose like that last pic...actually, they are right now, which is why I can comment and not be going insane! Happy Mother's Day!
Poor baby wore herself out!

Isn't it crazy how much energy they have at that age? Love the photo of her sleeping.
