Easter Basket Time
It is meant to be passed on, and it's for a great cause! Would you like to help raise $5,000 for the Children's Miracle Network? It doesn't get easier than this! Hershey's will donate $10 for each post in this blog hop between March 18, 2010 and April 4, 2010! Just include the following instructions with your post:
* Copy and paste these rules into your blog post.
* Create a blog post giving a virtual Easter Basket to another blogger – you can give away as many Virtual Baskets as you want.
* Link back to the person who gave you an Easter Basket.
* Let each person you are giving a Virtual Easter Basket know you have given them a Basket.
* Leave your link at the BetterBasket.info/BlogHop comment section. You can also find the official rules of this blog hop and more information about Better Basket with Hershey’s there.
* Hershey’s is donating $10 per each blog participating to the Better Basket Blog Hop to Children’s Miracle Network (up to total of $5,000 for blog posts written by April 4th, 2010).
* Please note that only one blog post by each blog url will count toward the donation.
Just so you know, I have not checked blogs to see who has and has not received this before me. So, if I give this to someone who already has it, my bad! Here are the lucky duckies....
Bridget @ Among the Chaos
Mimi @ He & Me + 3
Heidi @ Minnesota Mom
Ok...pretty much it. I so do not know very many bloggers out there. Have fun!!
The funny part is we "celebrated" Easter today since Dan is leaving tomorrow. The kids had their Easter egg hunt and we had Easter dinner too. Lots of fun. Next week will be way easier now!!

My Husband Is Leaving Me...Make Him Stop!
So I know I have not updated in awhile other than a few pictures. Our life has changed recently and I just haven't gotten around to blogging about it. I don't think I put an actual post together to announce it but hubby was laid off in January. Since he is the bread winner of the family, that truly sucked. I went out and got a job...not a great one but it was bringing home a little bit. He searched the internet for jobs every day and received unemployment. This went on for several weeks. He got many leads but nothing ever panned out. We discussed things with our landlord and he very nice and was willing to cut us some slack with our rent. Mid February, hubby got a lead and luckily it came through before we went completely under. March 1st he started his new job. A pretty good job since it's closer by an hour drive than his last place that was over 2 hours away. So you would think life is all fine and dandy now...right? Wrong!!!
My husband is leaving me next week. Monday to be exact. And just where is he going you ask? ( at least if there was anyone out there still reading this blog you would be asking) He is deploying to Afghanistan as a government contractor. WOOHOO. Oh, right...THAT STINKS!!! was what I really meant. I know that we really needed him to get this job. I know that he will be fine over there and come home safely. I know that the kids and I won't really kill each other while he is gone. I know it will only be for the next 3-6 months. But it still totally stinks. We just got his leave date today. Kinda makes it seem real.
I am going to try to update this blog more often so on the rare occasion he will have computer access, he can see what the kids and I are up to. We don't know how often we will be able to talk or email. We really don't know much of anything yet but next week I will be a single parent. I will have to do it all. I am sooooo not looking forward to this... :-(
